Cartridge Filters are the easiest and most efficient filter for home owners to manage. Cartridge filters can cover more square footage versus DE filters. It also offers superior hydraulics for the pool due to less resistance. The cartridges typically have a long life with easy maintenance. Combine the cartridge filter, with the variable speed pump, and the Ultra UV/ Clear O3 system for the most efficient operating system.

DE Filters are superior in situations where there may be significant dirt or sand blown into the pool. Large amounts of sand and dirt will shorten the life of Cartridge Filters; in such cases DE would be advisable.
